Total Scope 2 indirect upstream
emissions: 1.1 kt (0.43%)
As Viessmann Group we set ourselves
science-based climate targets. To do
so, we used two globally recognized
accounting standards - Greenhouse Gas
Protocol and the Science Based Targets
initiative - to ensure our process is in
line with climate science. As a result
we found that the carbon footprint of
Refrigeration Solutions today is 257,6 kt
CO2e, which is illustrated in the graphic
on this page.

Total Scope 1 direct
emissions: 4.0 kt (1.55%)
As announced in our first Viessmann
Climate Report we now aim to reduce
our own emissions by at least 48% in
absolute terms and our indirect emissions up- and downstream by at least
55% (both by 2030 and compared to
2019). Such ambitious, science-based
targets put us on the path towards net
zero by 2050.
Total Scope 3 indirect downstream
emissions: 116.5 kt (45.23%)
Our path towards net zero emissions
during the last years is also illustrated
on the next pages. Further, we illustrate
our continuous improvement of other
environmental impacts.
