Viessmann ESyCool green secondary
refrigerant system is operating with
outdoor chiller/heat pump modules
using R290 in small hermetic circuits to
supply cold brine to the Medium Temperature (MT) cabinets, cold rooms and
to the Low Temperature (LT) subcritical
CO2 cascade.
The complete heat recovery can be
used for store heating. By activating
the heat pump mode of the EC-Pro unit
is also possible to extract additional
heat of the ambient air outside to cover
a high space heating demand in the
winter period.
If an efficient space cooling for the
building is required in summer seasons
it is feasible to extend the system by
installing a separate R290 Pro chiller/
heat pump module.
Top priorities in future food retail stores
are to use natural refrigerants, to avoid
fossil fuels for heating demands, to
accelerate own produced renewable
solar or wind power and of course to
reduce the energy consumption to
minimize the CO2 footprint. The goal is
to operate zero-emission stores in the
future and to lower the overall energy
bill for operators.
