SUPPLIER MA NAGEM E N T
Humanity and sustainability
along our supply chain
The majority of suppliers
origin is in Europe
In our two production sites, Germany
and Finland, we pay special attention
to cooperating with nearby suppliers
and aim to support the local economy
to minimise our impact on the environment.
More than 90% of our suppliers are
based in European countries, more
than 70% originate from neighbour
countries.
Overall, less than 10% of our suppliers
are from non-European countries.
China and Turkey are the only countries
outside Europae we are currently receiving supplier material from.
The local cooperations help us to
guarantee short transport ways, faster
delivery times and less CO2 emissions.
Supplier audits for every
new supplier
Our company guideline ensures that
every new supplier we plan to work
with has to fill in a request for information. This is how we are checking
whether the supplier’s behaviour
adheres to our standards for human
rights, labor conditions or environmental protection as defined in our Supplier
Code of Conduct.
Supply chain due dilligence
law will apply from 2023
With the new supply chain legislation,
which will come into effect beginning
of 2023, large companies will be
legally required to take responsibility
for human rights in their supply chains.
The new law is a binding regulation of
the due diligence of companies in the
areas of human rights and environmental protection along their supply chain.
Of course, Viessmann Refrigeration
Solutions is preparing for this new
regulation, and we will act responsibly
according to this new EU law.
