How we invest and
modernise to act more
energy efficient
We continuously check which potential
for improvement can be used in our
ongoing production. Relevant parameters for this are energy consumption,
electricty use, water consumption and
the share of renewable energies.
Our main goals are to constantly
improve our production quality while
saving resources and reducing CO2
emissions.
The investment in new machinery and
the optimisation of production processes
are a regular task in our business.
Compressed air:
Energy-efficient operation
over maximum performance
One of the main drivers of energy
consumption in production processes
is compressed air. Therefore we made
the decision to invest in new compressors which are characterised by a performance control and which operate
with much greater energy efficiency.
Powder coating:
Less electricity, more quality
Part of our sustainability goals is also
to renew our machinery every now and
then, as technologies improve and we
want to be the leading manufacturer
in Europe and protect the environment
with our processes.
Powder coating is one of the substantial
benenfits of our cold and freezer rooms
to make them more resistant to external
influences. With the investment in a
new powder coating machine we did
save ressources (powder), electricity
and improve our product quality to
satisfy our customers even more.
New painting line: less
material and less waste
material
In the manufacturing process of our
refrigerated cabinets, we were able to
save CO2 emissions and thus water
and electricity with a new painting line
in operation. Less paint required also
leads to less waste plastic material.
All under one roof production
In our Porvoo factory, we have organised our production space much more
efficiently. This resulted in 6000m²
less space needed, therefore shorter
transportation ways and reduced
emissions.
